The Role

The Finance Supervisor supports the Finance Manager through a period of continued growth across all areas of our business (sales, editorial, digital and creative). This is a key role in our team where in addition to taking ownership of the purchase ledger, you’ll support the Finance Manager in the production of management accounts, preparing timely management information and helping improve processes in the department. You will work in a highly paced environment and collaborate with stakeholders across the business to produce management information.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and owning the company purchase ledger to improve overall efficiency
  • Processing and reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions on company accounting system (Xero)
  • Assisting with the production of statutory accounts across our three offices globally (UK, Malaysia and Australia)
  • Supporting with the production of monthly management accounts and credit card reporting
  • Assisting with the production of key management information including analysis of online advertising platforms
  • Working with the Finance Manager on cashflow management, forecasting across the business and liaising with the Finance Assistant where required
  • Maintaining daily HR tasks such as holiday and sickness reporting, booking travelling and training, organising management meetings and conferences
  • Data input on GoogleDocs and Microsoft Office
  • Ad hoc duties to support the office and other departments as required

Requirements:

  • 4+ years relevant work experience in a finance role
  • Experience owning and running a Purchase ledger
  • Exposure to the production of management and statutory accounts
  • Use of Xero accounting software desirable
  • Highly organised and analytical in their approach
  • Ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders and always has a positive attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Team player
  • “Can-do” attitude and problem solver
