What did you achieve in 2023?

Hybrid_What_did_you_achieve

2023, what a year! With the often dreaded New Year’s resolutions just round the corner, we are instead focusing on what WAS achieved in 2023 – as opposed to what wasn’t (i.e. going to the gym that’s still being paid for!).

We asked some of the Hybrid staff to pause and reflect on their year, and to shed some light into the many up’s they’ve had throughout 2023.

Jacqueline Raposo

How would you summarise your 2023?
What a ride.

What’s been your biggest personal achievement?
Finishing Les Mis en francais.

Favourite book?
The Argonauts by Maggie Nelson is amazing. She consistently brings it when it comes to writing about life and its esoteric concepts.

Happiest memory?
That feeling I get every time my plane touches down when I’m travelling for work. It’s always the start of something fantastic with a different team in a different country.

Most important lesson?
Whatever you think you can’t do, you actually can. Remember that.

Most enjoyable work project?
Honestly, I love what I do – so every day is pretty enjoyable, especially when I get to work with so many talented individuals. Also, any time I spend on campus with our partners. Getting the vibe from a place directly from its people is the best immersion you can have.

How would you summarise your 2023?
January to December in 80 days!

What’s been your biggest personal achievement?
I’ve definitely seen myself grow professionally and develop a strong skill set throughout the year. Learning something, even if it’s small, every day has been my proudest achievement. Looking back and comparing where I was at the start of the year is incredibly satisfying.

I’m more of a podcast girl, and definitely found Sleep to be my favourite podcast of 2023. 10/10 would recommend!

Happiest Memory?
Being an Indian expat, my parents came and visited me for the first time this year. Showing them around my favourite spots in the UK was amazing. I think they were pretty proud of me!

Most important lesson?
Every day is a new day and change is inevitable. If it didn’t happen, it wasn’t meant to be.

Most enjoyable project?
Hands down, and undoubtedly – the thrill and sheer joy of working on high budget sprint campaigns, sitting with all the teams in the boardroom and being on your toes 24/7 (literally) to adapt to the needs of our clients… Ooof!
