There’s been something of a whirlwind of new recruits joining our merry band here in the Hybrid Bristol HQ, with three additions to the digital team — including a new Head of Digital to replace our very own new boss, Mr. Chris Cammann, who’s recently taken up the role of Managing Director (UK).
- Promotion — Managing Director (UK): Christopher Cammann
- New appointment — Head of Digital: Chris Blake
- New appointment — Senior Account Manager: Sacha George
- New appointment — Digital Marketing Executive: Oliver George
So while it’s “well done” to Chris, it’s also a warm welcome to the new Head of Digital, Chris Blake, who joins us from Flourish, a full-service digital agency with offices here in the lovely south west of the UK.
“Blakey” will be in charge of steering the team as we undergo another year of extraordinary growth, and his collaborative approach will come in useful as he manages our experts in the Hybrid offices locally and in Kuala Lumpur — and our clients who hail from all over the world.
His foremost skill is perhaps being able to keep multiple juggling balls in the air, which will come in useful as we begin to take on new members to our stellar client list in the new year. His secondary skill — the ability to make perfect tea while fielding two phone calls at once — will prove both practical, and of some comfort to his much over-worked team.
Chris Blake said: “My career path that’s lead me to Hybrid has been an exciting one, and that keeps on progressing: my role here is to oversee the large growth in terms of the digital team and offering we have, to new and existing clients in the UK, KL [Malaysia], and Sydney.”
Joining that team at more or less the same time, we’re pleased to welcome Digital Marketing Executive, Oliver George, who on his first day won the inaugural “Shortest Hair in Hybrid” award for his closely cropped “number one” buzzcut. Ollie describes his role as being “a utility marketer specialising in data geek-outs and rushed Photoshop jobs.” To the rest of us, and of course, his proud family, he’s one of our elite marketeers.
Ollie said: “I’m looking forward to advancing my analytics understanding across new platforms and reporting dashboards, as well as developing my skills in HTML, SEO and design. I’ll be contributing to the digital and creative teams while increasing my technical skills and versatility. [I’m] very excited about the variety of training and opportunities available here at Hybrid!”
Lastly, but absolutely not leastly comes the powerhouse that is Sacha George, our new Senior Account Manager, responsible for keeping “off-platform” campaigns purring along and ensuring every element is delivered efficiently and effectively. Sacha’s role is mostly in the higher education sector, and she hopes to broaden her role to include working on finding new organisations that need the type of exciting & fast-paced campaigns Hybrid runs.
Sacha joins us from Dentons, which some of our grey-haired readers will recall from its paper-only days in the 1960s and 1970s. Competitively Sacha is a spring chicken to the old hands she left behind, and we’re delighted to welcome her unique brand of energy and no-nonsense attitudes that keep the worst excesses of the creative team nicely in check!
Sacha said: “I’d like to improve my knowledge around the in’s and out’s of higher education and eventually use that knowledge to bring on more new major clients, and progress to Account Director level.”
With opportunities across the board in all departments, in all our three global offices, it’s worth checking back here at least every week to see what openings are coming up at Hybrid. Join Ollie, Sacha, Blakey and our ever-growing teams to help create compelling content and craft campaigns that make a difference.
